VIRTUOSO – A RANGE OF ARTISTIC DESIGNS!

Exploring different colour combinations and coming up with unique designs is what we love to do! This is where we seek to collaborate with like-minded individuals and leverage their talent to create collections that are a collective representation of creative freedom and great design sense – or what we call the BFT+ range. This time we turned to a platform that empowers artists by promoting limited edition and original works of art - Art&Found. It is a curated platform for upcoming Indian artists that caters to designers and art lovers alike. Comprising of a community of designers, illustrators, typographers, photographers, painters and doodlers who have come together to sustain and celebrate artistic excellence, Art&Found is a powerhouse of talent. We couldn’t think of a better alliance! When talented artists and designers come together to create visual compositions using a shared knowledge base, to give you a different perspective of art, the result is nothing short of exe...

Bura na mano, Heritage™ hai!

India is a land of rituals, traditions and festivals. Festivals, specially, are celebrated on a remarkable scale here. The extravaganza during Diwali, the burning down of Ravan during Dushera as a metaphor for rising against evil, the midnight mass followed by a massive feast during Christmas, and more. One such notable festival is Holi. Holi is observed to celebrate the victory of good over evil by lighting and paying respects to a bonfire on the previous night and is followed by a game of splashing water and throwing colours on each other in a sporting manner to strengthen the bond within communities. Holi is, thus, famously referred as the festival of colours. Now that Holi is just around the corner, we decided to celebrate colours in our own humble way.    The cheery medley of Heritage™ tiles is a combination of various patterns from the collection placed randomly alongside each other. As one might imagine a chaotic design taking shape, it actually allures you with a...

We share more than just the name – Bharat!

Bharat, India, Hindustan – Our beloved nation has so many beautiful names. It has even more number of states, religions, languages, etc. The diversity is so vast, it becomes difficult to classify everything in simple terms! With a culture so rich & a heritage that dates way back, India has come a long way. Our history states all the ups and downs that our nation has gone through. Yet, it stood this test of time. Still going so strong, still undergoing changes, adapting to the variations of the world! In fact, India is connected somehow to almost every nation of the world through history. Our nation is called a “developing nation” – we say that is a good thing. “Developed” is something that has stopped, whereas “developing” is a continuous process and we will keep moving further! Bharat Floorings Group has lived it all with India for over 90 years. It has become synonymous with words like heritage, architecture, culture, royalty, premium, classic, contemporary, ethnic, etc. It a...

Past - Present - Perfect!

India is a country of a vast cultural heritage. From ancient cities like that of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa to imperial colonies of the British rule, India has been a host to distinct cultures and rituals. Great civilizations have flourished and perished on this rich land embedding traces of their varied culture deep into the traditions and lifestyle of the contemporary Indian society. While people celebrate Friendship Day and Valentine’s Day in tune with the western world, they also celebrate Raksha Bandhan which has numerous historic references. People remember and people like to be remembered. In this pursuit many objects have been created that today we call artefacts. Artefacts or antiques are nothing but items with cultural or historic significance that gain value as years turn into decades and decades into centuries. The older the artefact the more valuable it is. There are people who passionately collect artefacts, known as antiquarians, and they do not mind spending a fortune ...

The Perfect Combination!

Riyaaz Amlani, the man behind Impresario, has changed the face of socialising with his ambitious and solid projects in metropolitan cities across the nation. He has come a long way from stumbling upon small pebbles to scaling high mountains in the restaurant and hospitality industry. His ventures include the likes of Social, Salt Water Café, Smoke House Deli and Mocha to name a few. Talking about Social in particular often peaks our interest. This brainchild of Amlani is something that even we are proud of. Well, of course it is one of the most coming of age hangouts where artists meet designers, innovators meet entrepreneurs, photographers and writers meet web developers and where creative individuals share their ideas with like-minded people. However, there is more to it. Social at Colaba has a very unorthodox yet rustic charisma to it that makes you fall in love with the place the moment you step in. From the ligneous furniture to the typical ‘chai’ glasses for serving water...
