Five ways to Style your Summery Floral Patterns

Yes, the heat is intense; however, you must agree that summer has a charm of its own! The trees come into bud and the flowers bloom! Bright, colourful flowers are synonymous with the season and can be incorporated in many ways to uplift your décor this season.

Traditional, modern, eclectic, contemporary: the words that best describe a great floral pattern. And much like the wide variety of flora and fauna surrounding us, there is no limit to the number of floral patterns you'll find at Bharat Floorings.

Create an enthralling look in your house by using summery floral prints. Florals are a fast-track route to colourful, vibrant rooms. Floral patterns are an all-time favourite design preferred by everyone - a timeless print that can never go out of style! They make a natural fit for residential as well as commercial spaces. This pretty design can never go out of style and is a safe choice. These patterns can be used as highlights, borders for a statement look, or can be laid to create a carpet look. Floral designs tend to have a sleek and clean aesthetic and are, therefore, evergreen. One can never get tired of looking at them. This pattern makes a room feel more comfortable and creates a homely atmosphere. Patterns consisting of different leaves, buds, and twirls look very appealing.

Here are a few ways to as to how you can style your floral patterns:

Colour combinations:
Bringing nature to your space is always a good idea! If you choose neutral colours, it can create a calm background for your furniture and accessories. Light and subtle colours like beige, browns, pastels allow you to experiment with brighter colour décor elements eg, cushions and artistic wall hangings, that bring a positive influence on your mood, filling the interiors with a good energy. Keeping to just two shades gives you the freedom to mix a variety of patterns, from traditional floral designs to ethereal abstract prints.

In the image below, the Classic beauty pattern from the Heritage collection is laid at the Pali Village café in Mumbai. The designer Tejal Mathur used the colour combination of fawn and white to create a subtle and neutral tone keeping the decor and patterns used in the space the highlight.

Statement walls:
Go bold and playful wall décor! BFT has classic patterns in bold, vibrant colours and exaggerated patterns which are perfect to create a bold statement on your walls. These floral designs serve as part of the aesthetics and create a more natural feel. Customization is always a good idea when it comes to designing your own space. You can mix different patterns and create your own unique look, customization option that Bharat Floorings provides our customers with. The very trendy and famous medley Heritage™ tiles mixed and matched together to create a striking look at the balcony area of this beautifully designed residence.

Flooring:
If you love nature and want your interiors to blossom all year round, florals are your go-to! Flowers bring out a fresh and lively look within any space. Unique floral designs bring life to the floors of your home. Floral patterns like Tulip from the HeritageTM collection complement a vintage décor scheme beautifully as you can see below!

Stair risers:
Why should your stairwell look outdated when the rest of your home decor is on point? At BFT, we have a wide range of stair risers which enhance the décor of your space. A big trend in 2019 is to add attractive patterns with bold colour choices to uplift your décor, and we can’t think of a better way to incorporate this trend! Decorating the risers that make a staircase adds drama to your interior decor. Match the staircase risers to the surrounding furniture but add a little twist by using two colour combinations or patterns.

Highlighters:
When you keep all the elements in a room sleek and uncluttered, it's important to make sure there's a focal point in the room to add visual interest and you can incorporate such a look and feel by using highlighters! One can use highlighters by designing them in multiple ways. For instance, alternating patterned tiles with plain tiles, adding a border around the plain tiles, or creating a carpet look and surrounding it with a plain tile, amongst other ways. This can be decided as per the design scheme of the space.

The beauty of floral designs is that it enhances the overall look of the space instantly. Hope this article is helpful in designing and incorporating floral patterns effectively in your space.

SUMMER SPECIAL HOME DÉCOR TRENDS 2019!

Summer is finally here, and it’s bringing along some interior design trends that we’re very excited about! This is the perfect time to refresh your home for the season. Embrace the summers and uplift your home with trending patterns, bold prints and colours. Your home interiors should bring out the identity of who you are! Beautiful leafy and floral prints, statement designs, pastel colours and classic furniture help in up-lifting your décor.

Here are a few tips as to how you can upgrade and create a relaxing summer vibe in your homes –
Décor elements:
Minimalistic décor is the way to go this summer to make your room feel airy and bright. Details are essential for acquiring a ‘wow factor’. For instance, the right furniture, wall frames, cushion covers together bring out the perfect look. Light and bright colour combinations reflect light throughout the space making the room chilled and cosy. Cement tile is a great flooring option as it is neutral to extreme climatic conditions for instance tiles don’t get too hot or cold and it’s easy to your feet.
In the image below Studio Momo combined a modern and vintage décor scheme to create this beautiful villa.
One of the biggest positives of summer is the very bright sunlight that lasts almost throughout the entire day.
Tip - Replacing heavy drapes and blinds with some soft, thin and lighter colour curtains to allow more natural light to come in, materials recommended – cotton or linen.

Colour palate:
Yellow hues have been the go-to shade over the warmer months. Bright colours such as yellow look great and create a summery vibe. Don’t just stick to one colour though! Experimenting with different colour combinations is one way in which you can design a creative space. While layering neutrals in your space, adding a pop of colour is always a good idea. It adds a refreshing burst of joy to your living space.

The key, however, is to keep the colour palette the same tonally, for example, in the image below you can see the flooring and walls have the same level of softness with just the colour block cushion standing out, so it’s all balanced visually.

Beautiful bedroom textures:
Bedding makes all the difference when it comes to creating a cosy feel in the bedroom. Mix your textures and team them up with throws and cushions. There is no need to shy away from bold textures and patterns if you keep the rest of your room relatively simple. For a
simple-looking space, you can incorporate elegant furniture and neutral colours to make the space look lighter and feel more expressive while keeping it intimate.

Outdoor spaces:
Summer is here! Maintain and decorate your outdoor area in a way that makes it conducive to unwinding sessions that include a book, a chilled beer and some soothing music in the background. Let your spirit run free and your mind wanders off during the summer days!

Make your outdoor areas more inviting by simply adding some fresh planters, bright cushions, a neutral but statement flooring pattern and comfortable furniture in your patio area. Install fly-screens and nets to keep bugs and insects outside while still allowing the cool night air to ventilate your home.

Greenery:
Tropical planters used in this private apartment give the space a fresh look and they help to keep the temperature relatively cool in the summers! Flowers and indoor plants are the perfect antidotes to beat the sweltering summer heat! They also brighten up the house and bring cheer to the space.

Raw and Unfinished Textures:
Another interesting summer interior trend that will most likely be seen this season! Designing a space that is sustainable is very essential. Sustainable interior design creates interior spaces using design principles such as functionality, accessibility, and aesthetics. Raw unfinished textures like this stone finish used by the interior designer Sarah Sham looks rustic and the material is very durable and weather resistant. Organic textures and natural fabrics like jute and cotton also fit in perfectly with the summer sizzle. While the heat is buzzing outside, this material helps in maintaining a cosy and cool look inside!

Summery Floral Blooms:
Patterns come and go but florals are forever! They make a natural fit for residential spaces. This pretty design can never go out of style and is a safe choice. These patterns can be used as highlights, borders for a statement look, or can be laid to create a carpet look. Minimalist spaces tend to have a sleek and clean aesthetic and are, therefore, evergreen. One can never get tired of these spectacular, colourful floral-patterned tiles from the Heritage collection.

It is all about getting these little things right to create a warm and relaxing vibe! Hope this article helps to get you summer ready?
