With March 8th being celebrated as International Women’s Day world over, we at Bharat Floorings and Tiles stand to celebrate the women around us who have played an important role in our growth and progress as a brand. BFT is proud to be associated with some of the most talented and beautiful women designers who have been instrumental in transforming the landscape of design in the country, and have helped us evolve and explore the boundaries of our creativity in the process as well. Pallavi Doke - Envirodesigners Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly ‘The Designers’)

Pallavi Doke, a highly experienced interior designer brings a wealth of experience and personal expertise to the organisation along with her elevated sense of enthusiasm and passion to the professional practice. She is the Managing Director of Envirodesigners Pvt. Ltd which was founded in 2008. Her key interests are landscape ecology and heritage conservation. With experience spanning over 10 years, Pallavi has handled many large projects spreading all over the country.

She graduated from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, Mumbai in 1996 and has been working under accomplished Interior designers since then. She is a visiting faculty at Sir J. J. College of Architecture and Kamala Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture, Mumbai where she teaches Graduates and Post Graduates. She endeavours to transform more spaces from ordinary and mundane into abodes that have their own unique identity. A fabulous interior designer, possessing a great sense of design and aesthetics this woman is the mastermind behind some uniquely designed apartments with a defined sense of class and elegance. 



Samira Rathod - Samira Rathod Design Associates

A famous Interior designer, Architect, furniture designer, writer, and teacher based in Mumbai, Samira is an all-rounder indeed! She graduated from the Sir. J. J. College of Architecture, Mumbai in 1986 and soon after that she completed her Master in Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana – Champaign in 1988.

She has worked on various projects including some for Hollywood actors and directors when she was living abroad. She is the Principle director of SRDA which was established as an architectural and interior practice in 2000.  She has received a number of awards and honours over the course of her career. In 2015, she received an honourable mention for the Architect Vision Prize – Women and Architecture. The Karjat House designed by Samira Rathod Design Associates for Morarka Gannon has won “The Habitat Award for Single Residence Winner’s Trophy”. Samira believes in cultivating talent and a strong sense of design in today’s youth and is a faculty at the Kamla Raheja Institute of Architecture in Mumbai. A passionate and experienced designer who started her career at such a young age, she applies unique designs and patterns making each space noteworthy and outstanding. 



Seema Puri Mullan Architect – from SEZA 

Seema Puri, completed her Government Diploma in Architecture (G.D.Arch) from Rachana Sansad’s “ACADEMY OF ARCHITECTURE” Mumbai in 1991, and she worked for a number of architects before setting up her own practice SEZA with her husband Zarir Mullan in 1998.

They conceptualized, designed and executed a wide range of architectural and interior projects of diverse nature ranging from corporate buildings, residential schemes, showrooms, cafeterias and Private Bungalows. They have together won numerous awards from residential architecture and have also been featured in many magazine articles. They offer a total design solution from conceptual drawing, designs, working drawing to costing and execution; they handle it all. 


Ramya Rajasekhar - Architect at Venkataramanan Associates 

Ramya is an Architect who is currently working as the senior project manager at Venkataramanan Associates. She did her education from University of Wales, Cardiff. Venkataramanan Associates is an award-winning architecture & urban design firm based in Bangalore and Pune. They have won numerous awards in both cities for their outstanding work. The firm was founded in 1970. Ramya is an experienced and well-rounded interior designer who's worked on many projects, creating spectacular apartments.


Chaitali Parekh from Inscape Designers 

Chaitali graduated from Parsons School of Design, NYC in 2007 with a BFA degree in Interior Design. Working with design firms in Mumbai gave her the experience to start her own design practice, Inscape Designers, based at Worli, Mumbai with her mother, Sejal Parikh. She specialises in designing residential, hospitality & commercial spaces. The talented mother-daughter duo has worked together and created some stunning spaces. This lovely private apartment in Colaba has been designed in the whole by Chaitali and reflects her distinct sense of style. 


Nishita Kamdar from Studio Nishita Kamdar 

A young charming lady full of ambition did her interiors from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for architecture and environmental studies. Architect Nishita Kamdar has previously won the prestigious Charles Correa Gold Medal for Design Dissertation in 2013 for her Thesis "The Eyes of The Skin". She also won The Open House and was nominated for the prestigious IIID Anchor Awards for best Residential Interiors in a Multi dwelling.  The Open House was featured on the most popular web portal for Architecture Arch Daily in March 2016.  She designed the House of Quirk apartment using interesting shades of blue, grey and white along with a bold Le Mill pattern. 


Priyanka Mehra from PS Design Studio

Established in 2009 as an architectural and interior design studio, PS Design was founded on the principle of ‘less is more’ and remains fixed in the belief that each project is unique and requires renewed inspiration. A self-made interior designer, Priyanka started this firm with her husband. Like they say, creative minds think alike! They used tiles from the heritage collection i.e. the French beauty pattern in Grey and White to do up this private apartment. The pattern compliments the interiors beautifully giving the space a perfect vintage look. 


Sachi Gupta from Synthesis Architects

Sachi is the principal designer and partner at the Synthesis designs. Having more than a decade of strong notional & international work experience in both architecture and interiors.  She has done projects of all scale and type while working with few of the country’s best design companies. She joined hands with Parvez and started their company Synthesis which is based in New Delhi. Sachi Gupta (B.Arch) uses a problem-solving methodology.
Sachi and Pavez’s stellar teamwork and understanding of each other's design processes is what makes them great at what they do! They work together to create spaces that are aesthetically appealing and a perfect mix of vintage and chic. They understand the client’s needs and budgets and suggest design options accordingly to suit their requirements.


Anika Mittal Founder and Director Mold Design Studio

Anika is a young and established Interior Designer having 8 years of experience in all the designs and construction industry in India and UK. Graduated from Sushant School of Art & Architecture, New Delhi and MSc in Urban design from The Bartlett, UCL, London, she is currently the founding director of Mold design studio, based in New Delhi and founding Partner of Amalgam, a design studio that specializes in using the traditional Indian craft of inlay to redefine the contemporary Indian aesthetic as a blend of convention and modernity.


It was great working with these talented Interior Designers and collaborating with them to create these wonderful sites and lovely patterns. We hope to work with all of them and many more such innovative minds to design several such beautiful spaces and keep adding to our designer collaboration range in the years come!
